Ring Size Guide
Find Your Perfect Ring Size
A ring should feel secure without ever feeling tight. Use one of the simple methods below to measure at home in a few minutes, then match your measurement to our international size chart.
Measure at Home
How to Measure Your Ring Size
Choose the method that suits you best. If you can, measure two or three times on different days for the most reliable result.
Measure a Ring You Already Own
- Choose a ring that fits the intended finger comfortably.
- Lay it flat on a ruler and measure the inside diameter from edge to edge, in millimeters.
- Find that number in the Diameter (mm) column of the chart below.
Tip: Measure across the widest inside point, not the outer edge of the band.
Use a Strip of Paper or String
- Wrap a thin strip of paper or non-stretch string around the base of your finger.
- Mark the point where the ends meet, making sure it can still slide over your knuckle.
- Lay it flat, measure the length in millimeters and match it to the Circumference (mm) column, or type it into the size finder.
Tip: Keep the strip snug but not tight, and do not let it stretch while measuring.
Visit a Local Jeweler
- Ask any local jeweler to size your finger with a professional ring sizer.
- Request your US ring size and mention the band width you are considering.
- Select that size when you order. It is the most accurate option.
Good to know: Wider bands fit more snugly, so it helps to try a sizer of a similar width.

Get It Right
Tips for an Accurate Fit
- Measure at the end of the day. Fingers are usually at their largest in the evening.
- Avoid cold conditions. Fingers shrink when cold, which can make you size down by mistake.
- Check your knuckle. If your knuckle is wider than the base of your finger, measure both and choose a size in between.
- Consider the band width. Bands wider than 5 mm fit more snugly, so you may want half a size larger.
- Between sizes? Choose the larger size for comfort.
- Buying as a surprise? Borrow a ring they wear on the same finger, or ask a close friend or family member.
Questions
Ring Size FAQs
What is the most common ring size?
For women, the most common US sizes are 6 to 7. For men, they are 9 to 10. Every hand is different, so we always recommend measuring.
What if my ring does not fit?
We offer complimentary resizing on eligible rings. Contact our team and we will guide you through the process.
Can every ring be resized?
Most solid bands can be resized by one to two sizes. Eternity rings and designs with stones set all the way around the band are harder to resize, so please double-check your size before ordering these styles.
Should an engagement ring and wedding band be the same size?
Usually, yes. Both rings are worn on the same finger. If your wedding band is noticeably wider, it may need to be half a size larger for comfort.
How do I find a size for a surprise proposal?
Borrow a ring they already wear on their ring finger and measure its inside diameter, or trace the inside onto paper. You can also ask a close friend or family member. Complimentary resizing gives you peace of mind if the size needs adjusting.
